| Engine |
Small Block Chevy 350 (5.7L) V8, Edelbrock Alloy Heads, Comp Cams 12-410 RV cam, Performer RPM manifold. Megasquirt DIY Fuel Injection, Custom Fabricated Fuel Rails and Manifold.
Twin Garrett T34 turbos (Escort Cosworth "big turbo"), Custom fabricated 16 Guage mild steel turbo headers.
Custom water-air chargecooler
Optimised for low end torque rather than top end BHP.
Normally Aspirated power estimates 320bhp / 400ft/lb
Current Boost Pressure 7psi @ 9.25 CR power estimate ~400BHP
Target Boost 8-9Psi @ 9.25CR 450 bhp
Potential Power - 550-600bhp @ 14 psi (Intercooled) 550-600bhp (Forged internals, lower compression, STRONG gearbox)
It has the same on-road performance as a 4.2L supercharged Jaguar XJR (both from a standing start and roll-on) - which has about 370BHP and weighs about the same as mine. Therefore allowing
for the huge losses through my 4x4 driveline and crap aerodynamics, I would say its a comfortable 400BHP I should think. (And that was running std fuel where I retard the ignition considerably).
