Manifold ConversionI purchased a brand new Victor junior manifold for conversion, at £200 this is a rather expensive route, but wanted to develop the Fuel injection off the car, plus the single plane design is better suited to port injection: (or so i thought..)Firstly, The manifold is clamped down and bored out from underneath my by late father What's suprising is the sheer thickness of the Victor Junior Manifold, There's almost enough material to not even require fabricating injector bungs It requires extensive preheating before tig welding Becuause the manifold is so thick, the bungs are hardly exposed, which makes tig welding quite tricky. Each one needs spot facing to get a flush finish. Dad's workshop is also made-to-measure, unfortunatley he forgot to measure ME before putting the roof on! Once the bungs are welded in, they require cutting and blending in. Comments, questions or got answers? Please use the Mez Forums to get in contact or chat about this page.Next Page - Fuel Rails |
